Lingerie size guide
Most of our women's lingerie is one size, and each page says which sizes that covers.
Most of our women's lingerie is sold as one size, and the page tells you which sizes that one size is listed for. Hosiery has its own range, plus size pieces have theirs, and the Cut 4 Men pieces come in S, M, L and XL. This guide shows where to find each, and how to read the fit line on a page, without any measurements we cannot stand behind.
Read the Size and fit line first
Each lingerie page has a Size and fit row in its details list. It is the line to trust, because it is written for that piece. Here is what the common wordings mean.
- "One size, fits sizes 6-12": a single size, listed for sizes 6 to 12.
- "One size, fits sizes 14-18": a single size, listed for plus sizes 14 to 18.
- "One size, fits UK sizes 8-12, EU sizes 36-40": hosiery, listed for UK sizes 8 to 12, which is EU 36 to 40.
- "Sizes S, M, L, XL": the piece comes in four sizes.
Sizes 6-12
Most of the women's bodysuits, bodystockings, dresses and chemises are listed for sizes 6-12. For example, the Leg Avenue Lace Suspender Bodystocking at £19.99 says "One size, fits sizes 6-12". The High Neck Lace Bodysuit in black from the Lace range, at £16.99, and the Leg Avenue Rose Lace Flair Chemise in red, at £18.99, are listed for the same sizes. Browse all bodysuits and dresses.
Plus sizes 14-18
The Lace range has plus size pieces, listed for sizes 14-18. The Plus Size Lace Up Mini Dress is £12.99, and the Plus Size Long Sleeved Cut Out Back Bodysuit is £14.99. Both say "One size, fits sizes 14-18".
Hosiery
Many of the Lace stockings and tights are listed for UK sizes 8-12, EU sizes 36-40. The Stay Up Thigh High Stockings with Lace Top in black is £8.99, and the Rhinestone Suspender Tights in black is £12.99. The stockings and tights from Leg Avenue are listed for sizes 6-12, such as the Leg Avenue Sheer Stockings at £8.99. Plus size pantyhose are listed for 14-18. Browse all hosiery.
Cut 4 Men
The Cut 4 Men pieces are listed in S, M, L and XL. The Cut 4 Men Boost Black Leatherette Bikini Brief is £21.99, and says "Sizes S, M, L, XL". One piece lists fewer: the Cut 4 Men Briefkini in red says "Sizes M, L, XL". The pages give sizes only, with no measurements, so the size letters are what you have to go on.
Between sizes, or outside the ranges
The two women's ranges, 6-12 and 14-18, leave a gap at size 13, and no women's lingerie piece is listed below 6 or above 18. If you sit between ranges, we would rather you ask than guess. The contact page is the place to do that, before you order.
Fabric and care
The Fabric row gives the fibres as percentages, and most Lace pieces are 95% polyamide (nylon) and 5% elastane. The Care row gives the washing instructions, for example hand wash only, with no ironing, tumble drying or bleaching, on the Lace pieces, and "Hand wash recommended" on several from Leg Avenue. Read both before you buy.
Fibre mixes vary between pieces. The Boost bikini brief lists 90% polyamide and 10% elastane, and the Briefkini lists 93% polyester and 7% elastane. Washing advice varies too: the Leg Avenue Sheer Stockings say to wash at 40 degrees.
What one size does and does not tell you
One size means one cut. The line tells you the sizes that cut is listed for, and that is all it tells you. It does not promise how a piece will sit on every person, and we have not added measurements the pages do not give. If you want to be sure before you remove a hygiene strip, ask first.
Before you remove the hygiene strip
Lingerie worn next to the skin cannot be returned once its hygiene strip has been removed. You have 14 days to change your mind on sealed items, so check the Size and fit line against your own size first, and keep the strip in place until you are sure. Faulty items can be rejected within 30 days. The returns page has the full wording.
Buying for someone else

Do you give measurements for your lingerie?
The pages list sizes and the range each piece is meant for, not measurements. We would rather not invent figures, so use the Size and fit line, and ask on the contact page if you are unsure.
What size are the stockings and tights?
Many of the Lace stockings and tights say "One size, fits UK sizes 8-12, EU sizes 36-40". The Leg Avenue ones say "One size, fits sizes 6-12". Plus size pantyhose say 14-18.
Can I return lingerie if it does not fit?
You have 14 days to change your mind on sealed items. Lingerie worn next to the skin cannot be returned once the hygiene strip has been removed, so check the size before you take it off.
