What you will find in Essentials
The quiet, practical things: lubricants, condoms and care. They rarely need a long look, but a little thought about type and material makes the evening easier. Each page gives the base, material, volume or quantity, so you can choose without guessing.
Choosing a lubricant
Water-based lubricant is the usual choice with silicone toys, and the water-based Sliquid Natural Intimate Lubricant is unflavoured and unscented, water soluble and easy to clean up. The Sliquid Silk Hybrid Lubricant combines water and silicone, while YES Coco is oil-based, in six 5 ml travel doses. The Sliquid Silver silicone lubricant is easy to clean up with simple soap and water, though its page says it may stain clothing and sheets. Our guide on which lube with which toy sets out what goes with what, and the lubricants page holds the full range.
Condoms
Condoms are listed by material, width and pack size. The LELO Hex Respect XL is natural latex in a pack of 36, and Mates Skyn Original is Skynfeel synthetic polyisoprene in a pack of 10. Natural rubber latex may cause an allergic reaction in people with a latex allergy, and oil-based lubricants should not be used with latex condoms. See all condoms.
Care
Loving Joy Cleanse is a gentle toy cleaner: spray directly onto the toy, wipe with a clean cloth and let it air dry. The care page also holds edible massage oils, and our guide to how to clean sex toys covers the rest.
Delivery and returns
Every order arrives in a plain box with nothing on the label showing what is inside or who it is from. UK delivery is £4.99, free on orders of £40 or more. Orders are sent within 1 working day and arrive in 2 to 3 working days. You have 14 days to change your mind on sealed items, but lubricants, condoms and care products cannot be returned once the seal has been removed.
Questions
Which lubricant should I choose?
Water-based is the usual starting point, and it is the usual choice with silicone toys. A silicone lubricant is easy to clean up with soap and water but may stain clothing and sheets, as the Sliquid Silver page says. Oil-based lubricants, like YES Coco, are not for use with latex condoms. Our guide on which lube with which toy has the rest.
Can I use any lubricant with a silicone toy?
Not always. Silicone lubricant and silicone toys often do not mix, so a water-based lubricant is the usual choice. Check the instructions that come with your toy before you pair them.
Can I use oil-based lubricant with condoms?
Do not use oil-based lubricants with latex condoms. The Mates Skyn All Night Long lubricant is silicone based, and its details say it is compatible with latex condoms.
Can I return lubricants, condoms or care products?
You have 14 days to change your mind on sealed items. Lubricants, condoms and care products cannot be returned once the seal has been removed, and a faulty item can be rejected within 30 days.
Will the parcel show what is inside?
No. Every order arrives in a plain box with nothing on the label showing what is inside or who it is from, and your card statement shows NCX WONDEREDCOM.
