LELO SONA 2 Cruise vs Sona 3 Cruise
Two LELO pages side by side, using only what the product pages say.
LELO's Sona range has several pages, and the names are easy to mix up. This guide sets two of them side by side: the LELO SONA 2 Cruise Clitoral Massager and the LELO Sona 3 Cruise Clitoral Massager Black. It uses only what their product pages say. Where a page says nothing, this guide says nothing too.

- Price: SONA 2 Cruise £116.99; Sona 3 Cruise £125.99.
- Colours in the shop: SONA 2 Cruise in Black, Cerise or Purple; Sona 3 Cruise in Black.
- Settings: SONA 2 Cruise has 12 pleasure settings; Sona 3 Cruise has 10 pleasure settings plus 2 more in the LELO app.
- Material: silicone and ABS plastic, on both.
- Use: up to 2 hours on each, USB rechargeable.
Price and colours
The SONA 2 Cruise is £116.99. It has three pages in the shop, one for each colour, all at the same price: Black, Cerise and Purple. The Sona 3 Cruise is £125.99, which is £9.00 more, and the shop lists it in Black.
Settings and controls
The SONA 2 Cruise page lists 12 pleasure settings, and says Cruise Control regulates power. The Sona 3 Cruise page lists 10 pleasure settings plus 2 more in the LELO app, and describes SenSonic technology, SmoothRise technology for switching gently between intensity levels, and Cruise Control, which keeps the intensity consistent. It says the toy can be paired with the LELO app to reach the two extra modes and the Love Bridge feature for long distance couple play.
Put plainly, the Sona 3 Cruise page mentions the app and SmoothRise, and the SONA 2 Cruise page mentions neither. Both pages mention Cruise Control.
Size, charging and what is in the box
The SONA 2 Cruise page gives a length of 9.9 cm and a width of 8.7 cm. The Sona 3 Cruise page gives three measurements, 112 x 51 x 55 mm. The two pages measure the toy differently, so it is not fair to say from the pages alone which is larger.
The SONA 2 Cruise page says up to 2 hours of use in one go. The Sona 3 Cruise page says up to 2 hours of charging and up to 2 hours of use. The SONA 2 Cruise page gives no charging time.
The box lists the same five things for both: the toy, a USB charging cord, a satin storage pouch, a warranty registration card and a detailed instruction manual. Both pages carry the same entry under Water resistance, so it does not separate the two. Read that line on the page for yourself.
The Sona 3 without Cruise
The shop also lists the LELO Sona 3 Clitoral Massager in Cyber Purple at £116.99. Its page gives the same size, the same 10 pleasure settings plus 2 more in the LELO app, and describes SenSonic technology, SmoothRise and Love Bridge. It does not mention Cruise Control. The box lists a Sona 3 rather than a Sona 3 Cruise. So the difference between the two Sona 3 pages, as far as the pages say, is the Cruise Control entry, the colour (Cyber Purple rather than Black) and £9.00.
The names, in plain terms
Several pages carry the Sona name: the SONA 2 Cruise, the Sona 3 Cruise, the Sona 3, the SONA 2 Sonic and the SONA Cruise. The Sona 3 pages describe it as the latest generation of the Sona. The Sona 3 page, without Cruise in its name, has no Cruise Control entry. Beyond what the pages state, this guide does not guess at the history of the range.
How to compare any two pages
The same four lines settle most comparisons. Controls says how many settings there are. Power and charging gives the charging and use times. Dimensions gives the size, though not always in the same way, as here. In the box says what comes with it. If a page leaves one of these out, ask before you order: the contact page is there for that.
Which one to look at first
- If price matters most, the SONA 2 Cruise is £9.00 lower and comes in three colours.
- If you want the app and SmoothRise, the Sona 3 Cruise page mentions both.
- If you prefer the Sona 3 pages but do not need the Cruise Control entry, the Sona 3 in Cyber Purple is the same price as the SONA 2 Cruise.
Other Sona pages
If price is the main question, the shop also lists the LELO SONA 2 Sonic in Purple, with 12 modes, and the LELO SONA Cruise in Cerise, with 8 modes, both at £89.99. This guide does not compare them with the other pages.
Toys cannot be returned once the seal has been removed, so it is worth reading the whole page before you open the box. Every order arrives in a plain box: see how discreet delivery works.
